🛍️ Coconads Celebrates a Night of Fashion and Philanthropy at Wine, Women & Shoes Event benefiting First Tee - Orange County 👠
Coconads was thrilled to partner with First Tee - Orange County as a Marketplace vendor at the 2024 Wine, Women & Shoes event, held at Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach!
Back in October, we were fortunate to meet Victoria Ocampo Acosta, a former youth participant of First Tee. Victoria shared how wonderful her First Tee experience was, from joining a community of young golfers, to gaining access to a group of coaches who mentored her through golf, life, school and developing her personal values.
Shortly after meeting Victoria, we traveled to the PGA Show and had the opportunity to meet Stephanie Peareth, Director of Operations at the LPGA Foundation, and her wonderful team. Stephanie left us completely inspired after sharing the LPGA Foundation’s "One Million MORE Girls" campaign, which aims to impact one million more girls through golf.
It just so happens that First Tee - Orange County is one of the 500+ Girls Golf sites funded by the LPGA Foundation and the USGA, and so we were thrilled to connect the dots locally here in Southern California with this event!
A Fabulous Evening at Wine, Women & Shoes
The Wine, Women & Shoes event was a night to remember, filled with fashion, fun, and philanthropy. Guests enjoyed shopping at the vendor Marketplace, sipping wines from well-known wineries, and indulging in a delicious three-course meal. The evening continued with a Fashion Show, Silent and Live Auctions, and a Key to the Closet drawing, creating a vibrant atmosphere of excitement and support.
We want to extend our gratitude to Wendy Cullen, CEO of First Tee – Orange County, for her leadership and dedication to empowering youth through golf. We also commend Linda Shimazaki, Event Chair and Cathy Caplin for their invaluable contributions to making the event a success. Their passion and commitment inspire us and make a difference in the community.
